AI-Generated Portraits
A Parallel Universe
I began creating AI portraits in early 2023 using Midjourney, exploring how each version(from v4 to v7) reshaped visual aesthetics. I also have tried upscaling them with Magnific AI for 4K detail. By 2025, as OpenAI and Google advanced their generative image models, I expanded my workflow to Google’s Nano Banana and OpenAI’s Images, which offer far greater control over facial features and in many cases already rival traditional portrait shoots. Every portrait shown here was retouched in Photoshop using the same methods I apply to real photography, further blurring the boundary between captured and generated imagery, just like opening a parallel universe and inviting its inhabitants into mine.
AI Street Photography
Over the past year, I’ve been exploring how the core rule of street photography—the pursuit of the decisive moment—can be translated into AI‑generated imagery. I began experimenting with scenes built on coincidence, visual misalignment, and quiet absurdity. These are moments that, if captured in real life, would demand extraordinary luck and timing. Yet with AI, they appear almost effortlessly. The difficulty dissolves, and with it, the rarity that once gave these coincidences their value.
